This winner of eleven Grammy nominations will present a programme in\u00a0Rudolfinum consisting of\u00a0works by Jan\u00e1\u010dek, Vustin, Schubert and Dvo\u0159\u00e1k. Dvo\u0159\u00e1k&#8217;s cycle entitled <em>Poetical Tone Pictures<\/em> is on the repertoire of a very few world class pianists only. Its duration of over fifty minutes and enormous technical complexity for the player are the reasons why it is rarely played on concert stages and if at all, by very few pianists. The confidence in Andsnes&#8217; virtuosity has led the Sony Classical label to\u00a0record the entire<em> Poetical Tone Pictures<\/em> cycle; the recording will be released at the end of October.
